Joseph Nelson applies data science to impactful disciplines, and teaches others to do the same. He’s the founder of Represently, the first company to apply machine learning to improve how the US Congress responds to your outreach. He leads Data Advocacy for General Assembly, where he has written and taught over 2000 hours of data science curriculum to Fortune 500 companies and individuals alike. He previously guest lectured as a part of GW’s Master’s in Data Science program, built data visualization dashboards as a part of Facebook’s Politics and Government team, and worked in public affairs. Joseph is an advocate for using technology to improve social well-being. When he’s not modeling (data), he’s reading, bicycling, or learning the tools to build his next side project.
